Overview

The Senior Marketing Manager leads the brand and product marketing strategy while delivering corresponding omni-channel tactics, leading day-to-day planning and execution. The primary focus will be developing seasonal marketing campaigns and activations as well as building brand & product storytelling across all relevant platforms, including collaborations, cause marketing, partnerships, events and social media storytelling. Additionally, this role will seek new opportunities to retain and acquire customers while planning and implementing consumer-focused marketing programs. The Senior Marketing Manager will assist with driving the brand, championing the consumer and ultimately contributing to increased sales and business growth.

 

The highly collaborative role reports to the Sr. Director, Brand Marketing while being the primary point person for above-the-line marketing activity. In partnership with product design, merchandising, creative services, social, PR, UX/website, and digital marketing, this role will support the development of cohesive channel communications and go-to-market strategies.

 

This role will be responsible for both Lucky Brand and Nautica product marketing and brand strategy. 

Responsibilities

BRAND MANAGEMENT
• Support ongoing brand work and implementation
• Assist with operationalizing brand positioning and communicating strategies with cross-functional teams and retail partners
• Align new marketing activities to newly defined brand pillars
• Develop strategic presentations that are inspiring and insightful, utilizing business and consumer intelligence along with marketing trends and industry best practices

MARKETING DEVELOPMENT
• Develop marketing campaigns that align with Nautica’s and Lucky’s defined DNA and heritage.
• In collaboration with Design & Merchandising, identify key product pushes and corresponding product and marketing strategy Identify Nautica & Lucky Brand’s range of opportunities, quantify financial investments ROAS and/or impression value and then prioritize the path forward.
• Create consumer content roadmaps to guide execution of brand -led programs and initiatives across all channels including owned, earned and paid.
• Generate executable ideas for talent, marketing programs, partnerships, collaborations and overall marketing mix.

CONSUMER ENGAGEMENT

• Conduct channel strategy with a strong focus on trend right storytelling and product / category messaging across social media and media outlets.
• Work cross-functionally to define and report on success metrics that evaluate business impact of engagement strategies and projects over time.
• Oversee social first content creation, with the ability to provide real-time executive summaries to top level management, and adapt strategies to changing business needs; partnering closely with creative team.
• Connect to consumers through retail marketing strategies, including the development of key mall marketing opportunities (i.e. advertising, promotions) and store openings and events.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years brand marketing, social media, paid media with a focus on upper funnel awareness tactics (agency or client-side) with at least 3 years focused exclusively in the digital space
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry work experience
• Basic digital technology capabilities
• Proven experience developing brand marketing strategies and digital roadmap projects in a complex retail business and marketing environment
• Experience in consumer-driven businesses
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative team spirit
• Strong interpersonal skills as team leader and team player with experience managing and training other team members
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Travel may be required, based on business needs.
• Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.

 

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day
• Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day
• Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
• Ability to reach at or below shoulder level
• Ability to carry equipment, move boxes/samples, etc.

 

Requirements & EEO Statement

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $105,000 annually Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered and work experience.
